From Azerbaijan to Brandenburg: How a Promise Became Earth Greening
A story about friendship, loss, and turning a lifelong love of nature into something real.
Earth Greening wasn’t born from a business plan. It was born from a promise – made quietly, after losing a dear friend, in a new country far from home.
Roots in Azerbaijan
The founder grew up in Azerbaijan, where planting trees was a family ritual every summer – father, brother, and closest friends working the earth together under an open sky. One friend was always by his side during those years. They dug together, planted together, and imagined the forests those saplings might one day become.
A new home, an old habit
When life brought him to Germany, he settled in Brandenburg – surrounded by pine forests and wide skies. He carried his love of trees with him. What he couldn’t carry was the certainty that the people he loved would always be there too.
The loss that started everything
His dear friend – his partner in all those childhood summers of planting – passed away. In the silence that followed, he kept returning to those memories. The soil. The saplings. The two of them stepping back to see what they had made.
“The best tribute wasn’t a plaque or a ceremony. It was to continue the work they had always done together – only this time, at a scale that could truly matter.”
That is how Earth Greening was born. A quiet vow to keep planting – in German soil, in a new home – and to invite others to join.
What Earth Greening does today
Earth Greening plants native trees in protected, fenced sites across Brandenburg. Every tree is GPS-tagged, photographed, and documented – so there is never any doubt about where your trees are growing. Packages start from just 5 trees for individuals, with options for birthdays, weddings, memorials, and more. Companies can offset CO₂ with verified certificates and on-ground plaques.
Every tree planted carries that history. And every person who plants with Earth Greening becomes part of it too.
